Practice for Determination of Lead in Paint, Settled Dust, Soil, and Air Particulate by Field-Portable Electroanalysis (Withdrawn 1999)
1.1 This provisional practice covers the analysis of extracts of environmental samples for lead content using field-portable electroanalytical devices.
1.2 Matrices of concern in this provisional practice include paint, settled dust, soil, and air particulate.
1.3 Provisional standards achieve limited consensus through approval of the sponsoring subcommittee. For emerging industries, such as lead paint abatement, provisional standards are very useful to provide an early means of obtaining standardization.
